Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies — including Session Storage, Local Storage, and browser APIs — that work in comparable ways.
These technologies help us remember your preferences, keep the site working, understand how our platform is used, and improve your experience. Some are essential and the site cannot run without them. Others require your consent before they are switched on.
This policy covers both parts of our platform: the store at greencaard.com and the course player at courses.greencaard.com. Both are operated by Immigreat AI LLC.
Where you are matters. If you are in India, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie. If you are elsewhere, non-essential cookies are on by default and you can opt out at any time. Section 9 sets out the detail.
Essential cookies are necessary for our website to work. They enable core features such as signing in, cart functionality, coupon codes, and secure checkout. You cannot switch these off, but they are not used to track you for advertising or marketing.
Our essential cookies and storage cover:
Note on viewing progress. How much of a Product you have watched is not stored in a cookie or in your browser. It is recorded against your enrolment on our own systems. Clearing your cookies or browser storage does not change it, and it is not something you can switch off, because it is the figure that determines your refund eligibility. Section 2.3 of our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it. It collects:
We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics. The identifier used for a signed-in visitor is an opaque internal reference that does not, on its own, identify you.
We use a server-side error monitoring service to identify and fix technical problems.
No screen recording, click recording, or session replay of any kind takes place. Error monitoring runs on our servers, not in your browser, and it sets no cookie on your device.
As described in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy and Sections 4.3 and 8.4 of our Terms and Conditions, we collect certain technical data to protect our platform and enforce our intellectual property rights. This may include:
This data is not collected through browser cookies. It is gathered server-side and analysed to detect credential sharing, multi-user access, and other misuse. Because it is not stored on your device, it is not subject to cookie consent — but it is personal data, and our Privacy Policy explains the basis on which we process it.
Some third-party services set their own cookies when you interact with them through our site. We do not control those cookies.
When you proceed to checkout you are taken to our payment processor's own secure pages, at stripe.com, which set cookies on that domain for payment processing and fraud detection. These cookies are essential for secure transactions and are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.
We name our payment processor here, rather than describing it generically as we do elsewhere, because these cookies are set on a domain you are sent to and can inspect for yourself — you cannot exercise a meaningful choice about a cookie you cannot identify.
Our Products are delivered on our own course player at courses.greencaard.com, so no third-party learning platform sets cookies when you access content you have purchased.
If you are in India, you will see a consent banner on your first visit, offering:
Rejecting non-essential cookies is as easy as accepting them, and doing so does not restrict your access to any Product you have purchased.
Where we ask for consent, your choice is remembered for 30 days, after which we ask again. You can change it at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page, and changes take effect immediately.
You can also manage cookies through your browser's privacy settings. Most major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working, including sign-in, cart, coupon codes, and video playback.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. As there is no agreed industry standard for it and it has been largely deprecated, we do not alter our behaviour on the basis of a DNT signal alone.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser signal that communicates a "do not sell or share my personal information" preference to websites. We do not currently detect or act on a GPC signal.
The right that a GPC signal exercises is the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no sale or sharing for that signal to stop. If you wish to switch off analytics, use "Cookie settings" in our footer, which works from any browser and in any location.
If we introduce GPC detection, we will update this policy before doing so.
If you are in India, we:
If you are in the United States:
Our Platform is offered to users in the United States and India. If you access it from another country, the practices in Section 9.2 apply, and you can opt out at any time through "Cookie settings."
The table below summarises every cookie we set.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session cookies, set by our authentication provider | Essential | Keeps you signed in across the store and the course player | Session, or as set by the provider | Not required |
greencaard_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie choices | 30 days | Not required |
greencaard_coupon | Essential | Remembers a coupon code you have applied | 7 days | Not required |
greencaard_ref_track | Essential | Attributes a visit arriving through a referral link | 60 seconds | Not required |
user-country | Essential | Records the country detected for your visit, for consent options and tax treatment | Session | Not required |
Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) | Analytics | Page views, usage behaviour, and purchase events | Up to 14 months | Consent required in India; on by default elsewhere |
| Payment processor cookies, set on stripe.com | Third-party, essential | Payment processing and fraud detection | Per Stripe's policy | Not required |
In addition to cookies, we use browser storage for site functionality. Unlike cookies, this data is not sent to our servers with every request.
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Local Storage — cart | Keeps items in your cart before you sign in, so a guest cart survives a page reload and merges into your account when you sign in | Until cleared, or until the cart is merged |
| Local Storage — first-seen marker | Lets us tell a new sign-up apart from a returning sign-in, for accurate analytics | Until cleared |
| Local Storage — device session marker | Supports the signed-in device limit and tells you when you have been signed out on another device | Until cleared |
| Session Storage — sign-in event marker | Prevents duplicate analytics events within a single visit | Until the tab is closed |
These technologies store functional data only. They are not used to track you for advertising.
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our technology, or the law. When we do, we will post the updated policy here with a new "Last Updated" date and version number.
Where a change introduces a new cookie or a new purpose that requires your consent, we will ask for that consent before setting it. We will not treat your continued use of the site as consent to a technology you have not agreed to.
