Greencaard.com ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Immigreat AI LLC, a company registered in the United States. Registered address: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
This policy applies to both parts of our platform:
Both are operated by Immigreat AI LLC and share a single account. The course player is not a third-party service — it is our own system, and the data it holds about you is held by us, under this policy.
Our Platform is offered to users in the United States and India. Section 14 sets out the rights that apply to you in each. If you access the Platform from elsewhere, you may do so, but we do not currently tailor our practices to the law of any other country, and we do not currently offer the Platform to users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
When you watch video content in a Product, we record which content you have watched and how much of it. This produces the viewing percentage shown to you in the video player and against your enrolment in "My Enrollments."
This information is stored on our own systems as part of your enrolment — not in your browser, and not by a third party. Clearing your browser data does not change it.
This data has a direct effect on your rights: it is the figure we use to determine whether a purchase is still eligible for a refund under our Refund Policy. You can see it at any time in your account, and if you believe it is wrong you can ask us to review it.
To protect our content and enforce our Terms and Conditions, we collect and analyse:
Section 6 explains how this data is used and what we may do if we detect misuse.
We use a server-side error monitoring service to identify and fix technical problems. No screen recording, click recording, or session replay of any kind takes place. We do not record what you see on screen, where you click, or how you move through a page.
We use your personal information only for the purposes below. We will not use it for an unrelated purpose without asking you first.
We do not send promotional or marketing email, and we do not operate a marketing mailing list. If we introduce one, we will ask for your consent before adding you to it and will update this policy first.
Where data protection law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing your personal data, these are the bases we rely on.
| Purpose | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the Products you have purchased, managing your account, and giving you access | Performance of our contract with you |
| Determining refund eligibility from your viewing data | Performance of our contract with you |
| Determining and reporting the correct sales tax, and retaining location evidence | Compliance with a legal obligation |
| Keeping order and transaction records | Compliance with a legal obligation |
| Monitoring for account sharing and content misuse | Our legitimate interest in protecting our intellectual property and enforcing our terms |
| Server-side error monitoring | Our legitimate interest in maintaining a working service |
| Analytics | Your consent, where consent is required in your jurisdiction; otherwise our legitimate interest in improving our service |
| Responding to legal requests and enforcing our agreements | Compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in defending our rights |
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it. Where we rely on a legitimate interest, you have the right to object, and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue.
We share personal information with the categories of service provider listed below. Each acts as a processor on our behalf and is contractually required to protect your data and to use it only on our instructions.
| Category of provider | What they do | Data they handle |
|---|---|---|
| Payment processor | Payment processing, tax determination, refunds | Name, email, billing address, payment method details, transaction records, country of card issue |
| Authentication provider | Account creation, sign-in, multi-factor authentication, device sessions | Name, email address, sign-in and device metadata |
| Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers | Operating the Platform, storing content and account data | All data stored on the Platform |
| Email delivery provider | Transactional email | Name, email address, message content |
| Analytics provider | Website usage measurement | Usage data, device information, truncated IP address, a pseudonymous identifier |
| Error monitoring provider | Server-side error diagnosis | Technical error data |
| Security and abuse-prevention provider | Rate limiting and fraud prevention | IP address, request metadata |
We describe our providers by category rather than by name. This is a deliberate security measure: naming the specific platforms behind our infrastructure would give an attacker a map of our systems without telling you anything meaningful about how your data is handled. If you need to know the identity of a specific provider — for example, to exercise a right of access — contact us at support@greencaard.com and we will tell you.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may also disclose personal information to professional advisers, to a purchaser or successor in the event of a business sale or reorganisation, and to law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to do so.
To protect our intellectual property and enforce our Terms and Conditions, we monitor platform activity for indicators of unauthorised use, including:
Where we detect such a pattern, we will normally contact you first and give you an opportunity to explain. Where we consider misuse to be established, or where you do not respond, we may:
We carry out this monitoring on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting our proprietary content and enforcing our rights, and in meeting our obligations to customers who have purchased personal access.
We use cookies and similar technologies to enable site functionality, understand how the platform is used, and improve your experience. Our Cookie Policy sets out each cookie we use and how to manage your preferences.
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires — whichever is longer.
In practice, that means we decide how long to keep each kind of information by reference to:
Where you ask us to delete your data, we will do so except where we are required to retain it. Transaction and tax records are the main example: we cannot delete these on request, but where the rest of your account is deleted we will remove or anonymise the personal details attached to them.
Wherever you are located, you may ask us to:
How to make a request. To request a copy of your data, its correction, or its deletion, email us at support@greencaard.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We respond within 30 days, and will tell you if we need longer.
Please note: deleting your account through your profile settings removes your sign-in credentials. To also have your order history and personal details erased or anonymised, please contact us at support@greencaard.com — those records are not removed automatically.
Section 14 sets out further rights that may apply to you depending on where you live.
We take the security of your personal data seriously and use industry-standard measures, including:
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@greencaard.com.
If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within the time required by the law that applies, and we will notify you without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a significant risk to your rights.
Our notification will describe the nature of the breach, the data affected, the steps we are taking, and what you can do to protect yourself.
Our services are intended only for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at support@greencaard.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your personal information is stored and processed in the United States, where our databases, our email delivery, and our principal service providers are located. Our website and course player are delivered to you through a global content delivery network, but the systems that hold your account, order, and progress data operate in the United States.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, Immigreat AI LLC acts as a Data Fiduciary. We process your personal data only for the purposes described in this policy, and only with your consent or on another lawful basis.
In addition to the rights in Section 9, you have the right to:
Purpose limitation: we process your data only for the specific purposes described here, and will seek separate consent before using it for any new purpose.
Grievance redressal: if you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer at support@greencaard.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you live in a US state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — including, among others, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and Delaware — you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, to opt out of any sale or sharing of it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because we neither sell nor share personal information, there is no sale or sharing for you to opt out of.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may additionally request the categories of personal information we have collected, disclosed, or shared in the preceding 12 months, ask us to correct inaccurate information, and limit our use of sensitive personal information.
To exercise these rights, contact support@greencaard.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, and may extend that period by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our technology, or the law. When we make changes we will post the updated policy here with a new "Last Updated" date and version number.
Where a change requires your consent under the law that applies to you, we will ask for that consent before the change takes effect in relation to your data.
The version of this policy in effect on the date of your purchase governs that purchase. Earlier versions are available on request from support@greencaard.com.
